Carmindy, your favorite makeup artist from TLC’s What Not to Wear, has officially come out with her own makeup line aptly named Carmindy Beauty, becoming the first in-house beauty brand launching with QVC. The 16-piece line was developed with the message that the makeup artist has shared many times over the course of the makeover show: Anyone can find time in the morning to do their makeup.
The line contains two collections to help streamline your makeup routine: the Carminidizing Skin System Four-Piece Collection ($70) and the Five-Minute Face Five-Piece Collection ($60).
Included in those lines is At First Blush ($24) and Universal Love Lipstick ($24) both of which Carmindy says look good on all skin tones. There’s also a non-shimmery Carmindizing Highlighter ($32) and a lightweight primer called All In Good Prime ($34). The foundation and concealer from Carmindy Beauty come in eight shades, falling way short of the 50 we’ve come to expect from brands like Fenty Beauty, but the makeup artist claims that her shades cover “most” skin tones. With each new season, the brand is going to launch additional products to complement the basics and we’re hoping more shades are included.
Carmindy Beauty also launched an Eye Enhancer Three-Piece Kit ($43) that includes the I Got You Mascara ($24), Into It Eye Liner Pencil ($20), and the Eye Enhancer Eye Shadow Trio ($26) with the Double-Ended Eye Shadow Brush ($24) as an add-on to the basics.
The idea of the quick and easy “five-minute face” is a big part of Carmindy Beauty with each product formulated to, as Carmindy puts it, “restore [a woman’s] unique beauty back to her most fertile state.” According to Carmindy that means glowy skin, eyes that capture attention, flushed cheeks, and plump lips. While developing Carmindy Beauty, she said she tested the products first on herself and then on women of varying ages. And everything was designed to be easy to apply for novices and professionals alike.
